The 11th annual Freedom Fest in Frisco will take place this Independence Day weekend with plenty of entertainment, food and family-friendly fun. Between an outstanding Children’s Expo, delicious food from local Frisco restaurants, an FC Dallas soccer game and the annual Firework’s Extravaganza, Freedom Fest offers the perfect way to celebrate our nation’s birthday.
Beginning around 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, 2015, the Party at the Plaza and Taste of Frisco events located in Simpson Plaza at City Hall will kick off Independence Day fun with plenty of activities for community members of all ages. Young children will have a chance to play in the Children’s Expo equipped with rock climbing walls, bounce houses, face painting and new hamster ball races, while adults will enjoy the setup of local Frisco restaurants and main-stage music entertainment. Plus, a special Hometown Heroes Exhibit will pay tribute to our local emergency service members that work hard to keep our town of Frisco safe. The festival in the plaza runs through the afternoon and evening while attendees are invited to buy tickets to the 8 p.m. FC Dallas MLS Soccer game in the nearby Toyota Stadium. Following the game and festival, the Firework Extravaganza will begin, offering one of the very best firework displays in northern Texas.
Want to join in for the full weekend of celebration? The nighttime Hotter ‘N Firecrackers 5k Run will take place at 9 p.m. on Friday, July 3 for extra fun. The amazing glow run through the Frisco square will feature plenty of glow sticks, flashing LED lights, electric music and bright fluorescent gear for a truly exhilarating beginning to the holiday weekend.
Whether you join in for the live music, local food, 5K run or Fireworks Extravaganza, Frisco’s premier 4th of July celebration is bound to be a weekend to remember. Have other plans? Regardless of what you may have in mind, our family at Crest Nissan in Frisco wishes you a happy and safe 4th of July weekend!
