Nissan presented the 2016 Sentra sedan at the Los Angeles Motor Show last month, eliciting praise from both fans and critics alike. The new Sentra has been fully updated and includes a new exterior design, upgraded technology and updated safety features.
Nissan has been introducing the world to its new design language over the past few years, showcasing it on popular models such as the Maxima and Altima. This model year, it’s the Sentra's turn and the automaker has gone above and beyond in giving the sedan a truly impressive update.
“For 2016, we’re giving our popular Sentra a complete makeover – that’s three-for-three for our top sedans,” said Fred Diaz, senior vice president, Sales & Marketing and Operations, U.S.A., Nissan North America, Inc. “Like Altima, we’re taking a powerful nameplate and making it even better.”
Key exterior features now available on the 2016 Nissan Sentra are its new front and rear fascias, boomerang-shaped head- and taillights, and 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. Some models of the new Sentra even get LED low-beam projector headlights with LED signature accents.
The sedan’s cabin gets a new steering wheel, as well as a new center cluster, upgraded upholstery and more high-tech gizmos, while the car’s safety system is updated with more advanced security systems like Intelligent Cruise Control, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Forward Emergency Braking.
