An “Energetic” ExteriorThis most recent version of the Altima has been built using Nissan’s new “Energetic Flow” design language that has been hugely popular on the 2016 Maxima and the 2015 Murano. This new design features a refreshed front fascia that is lowered and more muscular, as well as a new V-motion grille, a new hood and new LED boomerang headlights.
An Upgraded Interior
The 2016 Altima’s interior design has also been updated to include more tech and convenience features, as well as more sport features like those found on the sedan’s all-new SR trim. These amenities include a new C-stack, reshaped seats, available 5.0-inch and 7.0-inch display screens, and soft-touch materials. The sport features on the new SR trim include paddle shifters, smoked headlights, 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, unique suspension tuning, a rear spoiler and sport interior accents.
Improved Performance
Some of the most exciting new updates on the Altima include the car's newly retuned suspension and steering that provide even better handling, ride comfort and quietness. The car’s safety features have also been expanded and include radar-based blind spot warning, intelligent cruise control, forward emergency braking and rear cross-traffic alert.
