Nissan is showing off their excellent autonomous tech with a bit of standard office furniture in their newly released “Intelligent Parking Chair.” This fun new project is the automaker’s newest platform to highlight their Intelligent Park Assist technology.
Intelligent Park Assist allows the latest crop of new Nissan cars to essentially park themselves using a variety of autonomous technologies. The Intelligent Parking Chair is an ingenious way to show off this tech, using some innocuous office chairs, which can now park themselves at various desks and conference tables with ease. According to a Nissan press release, “Japanese businessmen are now freed from the troublesome task of arranging chairs.”
This new tech is just one piece of the puzzle that Nissan is putting together on its continued work on self-driving cars. We are excited to see their ingenuity coming out in fun and unique ways, and we certainly would love a set of these “intelligent” chairs to add to our offices here at Crest Nissan.
