2017 Nissan Versa Overview

The small compact segment offers to first-class options this year: the 2017 Nissan Versa and Versa Note. Each model is incredibly affordable and offers a wide range of benefits, including a generous selection of amenities, excellent fuel economy and a refined ride. For the new model year, the Versa even offers a new SV Special Edition package that enhances the car's appearance. The Versa Note also sports a few new exterior updates and interior improvements.

Fresh Updates

Both the Versa and Versa Note are offered in multiple trim levels. The former comes in S, S Plus, SV and SL, while the latter comes in S Plus, SV and SL.

New Versa Features

The standard 2017 Nissan Versa in Frisco is available with a new SV Special Edition package. It comes with 15-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, front fascia chrome accents, fog lights, satellite radio, a 5-inch display, hands-free texting, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth and variable intermittent wipers.

New Versa Note Features

All Versa Notes now come with a new V-Motion grille and sweeping headlights. Two new paint options are also available: Deep Blue Pearl and Monarch Orange. Inside, the car gains a second 12-volt outlet and bigger cupholders to better accommodate large beverages.

Efficient Four-Cylinder Engine

A 1.6L four-cylinder, delivering 109 horsepower and 107 lb.-ft. of torque, is fitted on the Versa and Versa Note. On the Versa, it can be paired with either a five-speed manual or Xtronic transmission, while the Versa Note come solely with the Xtronic.

An EPA-estimated 35 mpg combined, 31 city and 39 highway is achieved on the Versa equipped with the Xtronic. The Versa Note also offers 39 mpg highway, a number that has been noted in several 2017 Nissan Versa reviews.

Safety Equipment

Versa models come with standard safety features, including antilock brakes, airbags, stability control and traction control. A rearview camera is also offered on select models, helping to assist drivers when pulling out parking spaces. This handy gadget is primarily used as a way to prevent avoidable accidents. On the Versa, it comes standard on SL models.
