What's New For the 2020 Nissan Armada?

In 2020, the Nissan Armada made some minor changes. Across the board, the Armada has a high-quality interior, especially when compared to its peers. Even at the base level, the Armada has plenty to offer with a stylish tech interface screen. Even though it looks the part of a luxury SUV, the Armada has impressive off-road capabilities. It also has impressive towing capabilities, especially for a vehicle of its size and class. The Armada comes in three trim levels. Packages are available to enhance each trim. The lower-end trims have a seating capacity for eight, while the higher trim levels seat seven. All trim levels of the Armada are powered by the same engine and have the same transmission. While they share some standard features inside and out, there are some trim-specific differences to note, too.

2020 Armada Trims & Features

There are three trims in the 2020 Nissan Armada. The base trim is called the SV, and the SL and the Platinum follow it. The SV comes well-equipped for an entry-level model. It seats eight occupants and gets heated front seats, which is a rarity for a base trim. It also comes standard with dual-zone climate control. Seats in both the second and third rows fold flat for convenience. The base trim's standard technology includes an eight-inch infotainment display screen with smartphone compatibility and navigation. This trim also gets four USB charging ports. Its audio system includes a CD player, satellite radio, and HD radio. The SV has several safety features, including forward-collision warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking. Also impressive for a base trim is the fact that a Bose sound system comes standard on this trim. On the outside, the SV features 18-inch wheels and bold LED headlights. It also gets roof rails, which add style and give you more cargo capacity. Heated mirrors are included on this trim as well. Adding a driver's package gives you a power-folding third-row seat, a trailering package, and fog lights. The SL trim adds 20-inch wheels, lighting on the front steps, driver's seat memory, and leather seats. It also includes a 120V power outlet and a 360-degree camera. The Platinum adds to that list lighting on the rear steps as well, a windshield wiper, heated seats in the first two rows, and ventilated front seats. Two-tone leather seats and 22-inch wheels are available.

This engine is connected to an automatic seven-speed transmission. The Armada comes standard with rear-wheel drive, although four-wheel drive is available for those who want more off-road traction.
