2017 Nissan GT-R Overview

The 2017 Nissan GT-R in Frisco has received several updates this year. Both the standard version and GT-R NISMO have gotten new exterior treatments and interior enhancements. A new V-motion grille, rear bodywork and hood have been fitted on the model GT-R. It also gets updated character lines, a stronger structure and functional side air vents.

On the GT-R NISMO, you'll find a new front end, front fascia and dark chrome V-motion grille. It also sports a reinforced hood and side skirts that are designed to improve airflow.

Updates

The GT-R is offered in one Premium trim for the 2017 model year.

To provide a better in-car experience both the GT-R and GT-R NISMO have received a series of improvements to their cabins that buyers are sure to admire. A new dashboard layout has reduced the number of controls in the car from 27 to 11, providing a more user-friendly experience. An 8-inch touchscreen has also been added to both models as well as a new Display Command control that is simple to operate.

The standard 2017 Nissan GT-R in Frisco also gets a new instrumental panel, Nappa leather, more comfortable seating and a Rakuda Tan leater interior option.

On the GT-R NISMO, Alcantara suede on the steering wheel and leather-appointed Recaro seats can be found.

Performance

A 3.8L turbocharged engine is equipped on the GT-R and GT-R NISMO. Delivering 565 horsepower and 476 lb.-ft. of torque on the GT-R, the powerplant is matched to a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This setups gives the GT-R the ability to go from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds, which is faster than most cars on the road today.

The V6 in the GT-R NISMO generates 600 horsepower and 481 lb.-ft. of torque, delivering even greater performance than the standard model.

Safety Equipment

From airbags and antilock brakes to stability control and traction control, the GT-R has the components necessary to keep you safe on the road. Noted in multiple 2017 Nissan GT-R reviews, a rearview camera and rear parking sensors are also fitted on the sports car, boosting security for driver and passengers.
