What's New For the 2019 Nissan Murano?

In 2019, the Nissan Murano gets a fresh start. On the outside, design changes and updates make the Murano stylish enough to turn heads on a night out downtown. Inside, a wave of updated technology means that the Murano will never cease to impress and entertain, even on the longest and most tedious car rides. The Murano, as you might expect from a Nissan, is also safer than ever. This year, the Murano comes with a healthy dose of driver-assist safety features such as blind spot monitoring and lane-change assist. The Murano also gets an improvement under the hood with the addition of a responsive all-wheel drive system and six-cylinder engine to help you power through anything.

Major Trims and Features for the 2019 Nissan Murano

In 2019, there are four trim levels of the Murano available.

The base model is called the S. With the S, you can look forward to a driver-friendly infotainment system with an eight-inch screen that acts as your connectivity portal, audio center, and entertainment center with features such as Android Auto. While you often have to choose between one or the other, especially on a base model, the S also comes with both wireless technology and Apple CarPlay. Front-wheel drive is the standard drivetrain on the Murano, and it has a handy backup camera to give you more driving confidence when you're backing up or maneuvering in reverse. A dual-zone air conditioning system with a built-in filter keeps the cabin air fresh and clean.

The SV gives you all this and more. The SV, which is the second highest trim, has a more luxurious interior that has a leather-wrapped gear shifting knob. It also has a convenient remote engine start feature and more standard safety amenities. Along with the backup camera, this trim level is available with front and rear parking sensors to give you even more assurance when you're driving. Heated front seats are an available feature.

The SL, which is next in line, comes standard with heated front seats. It also has comfortable leather seats that make even the longest car trip more pleasant. With this trim you have a choice between front-wheel drive or the all-wheel drive configuration. If you're a music fan, you'll want to consider getting this trim level, as it has an improved audio system, made by Bose, with an impressive 11 speakers and two subwoofers. While the lower-level trims ride on 18-inch wheels, this trim level has 20-inch wheels. The infotainment system is still the same size, but it adds navigation with real-time traffic information.

The Platinum tops the line with aluminum-alloy wheels, a power-operated panoramic moonroof, heated and cooled front seats, and more standard driver-assist safety features.

Under the Hood

2019 Nissan Murano Exterior FrontIn 2019, the Murano is powered by a sophisticated six-cylinder engine. This engine is sized 3.5L, and it has 24 valves.
