For the latest model year, the Murano's interior and exterior designs are the same. Therefore, it has the same appearance, which is a distinctive and aerodynamic look that sets it apart from peers and gives it a class-leading fuel economy. The newest Nissan Murano still has a spacious, comfortable, and tech-savvy cabin adorned with high-end touches and quality materials.
However, it now gets more safety features across the board and for specific trims. The Murano now gets more standard safety features on the SV trim and higher. These features are available on other trims, including the base-level Murano S. Select trims are also equipped with Nissan's Safety Shield 360 technology that has a combination of six driver-assist technologies designed to keep you safe on the road.
The 2020 Nissan Murano is produced in four trim levels. The entry-level Murano is called the S. It has power-adjustable side mirrors with integrated turn signals and bold 18-inch wheels. This Murano also gets LED taillights for visibility on all sides. Its interior features split-folding seats and appealing color schemes.
As for infotainment, the 2020 Murano gets a standard eight-inch infotainment display screen that includes phone connectivity, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay. This trim also features a standard USB charging port in the front row and a second USB-C charging outlet for the back seat. The driver's seat can be adjusted in six ways. Some safety features come standard on this trim, including automatic emergency braking.
The second trim in the Murano family is the SV. This trim has a slightly more upscale interior that has a leather-wrapped steering wheel and front-row power-adjustable seats. The SV gets a more stylish exterior with the addition of black roof rails. You'll get more safety technology with this trim, too, including the Nissan Safety Shield 360 package, which adds six driver-assist safety aids, and adaptive cruise control. The SL trim comes next. It rides on larger 20-inch wheels and gets black roof rails and LED fog lights for a more dramatic appearance.
The SL has heated seats in both rows for ultimate comfort. It also gets leather-trimmed seats in the front and back rows. A heated steering wheel comes standard. The interior is dressed up with an enhanced Bose sound system with 11 speakers. The infotainment system gets navigation starting with this trim level. The next Murano is called the Platinum. It is a fully-loaded Murano that includes premium diamond-quilted seats and ventilated front seats. A dual-pane sunroof makes the cabin more airy and spacious.
All trims of the 2020 Nissan Murano share the same engine. They are powered by a V6 engine with a 3.5L displacement. This engine can churn out up to 260 HP and 240 LB-FT of torque. The engine is connected to Nissan's own Xtronic transmission. You can choose between front-wheel and all-wheel drive.
Dual-stage airbags are a highlight in all trims. The base trim gets basic driver-assist safety aids, but the other trims come equipped with Nissan's full suite of driver-assist safety tools that are available through the Safety Shield 360 technology package.
