The Nissan Sentra has a new design for the 2020 model year. It features a design that echos the Altima. Also, there's an edgy downward sloping front hood, wider headlights, flanked by a bold V motion grille, and a floating roof. There is also a full climate control panel, with horizontal air vents. The 2020 Sentra also includes a flat-bottom steering wheel and a touchscreen that looks like it's floating. Fuel economy is 29 mpg in the city, 39 mpg in highway driving, or a combined 33 mpg.
The Sentra has three trims: the S, SV, and SR. For now, features that have been announced include the 8-inch floating design infotainment center that's conveniently located within arm's reach of the driver. You'll find the cabin is driver-centric and designed to remain uncluttered. It's by far more organized than the 2019 Sentra, so if you passed over that Sentra because of the cluttered interior, please give it another look. The 2020 Sentra also features premium cloth seating on higher trims.
The Sentra is compact, so you don't need a mountain of horsepower to effectively accelerate in an exciting way in the Sentra. The 2020 Sentra has one engine across its three trims, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 149 hp, and 145 lb-ft of torque. All Sentra trims are driven by the front wheels and feature a CV transmission.
Safety features remain one of Nissan's core missions. You won't find a Nissan car that doesn't have advanced driver-assist platforms. All Sentra trims feature Rear Sonar System, Intelligent Engine Brake, Hill Start Assist, Rearview Monitor, Nissan Advanced Air Bag System with dual-stage supplemental front airbags with seat belt and occupant classification sensors, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, and Intelligent Forward Collision Warning.Â
